The Disney Lorcana TCG Companion App greets you with a home page that includes news updates that are sure to be critical for players. Day 1 front page links include a link to the melee.gg site that’s the home of Organized Play information for the game, and a link to product information on the official Disney Lorcana website.

The Catalog button brings players to a full card database of set 1, The First Chapter, and a really cool feature here is that by clicking on a card, you are able to toggle the regular or Foil version, and on the Foil version fans are treated to a cute simulation of the foiling on each individual card.

Collectors are able to actually track a collection or wishlist through this catalog, and anyone can easily find cards through a multifaceted search menu that’s summoned by tapping on the Search button. Filtering includes ink types, inkwell icons, card types, costs, abilities, rarity, and more.

By clicking the stack of cards button in the upper right corner, the Deck Builder can be accessed, allowing users to build and save custom deck lists. Currently there don’t seem to be any methods of exporting the list outside of the app, but some sorting options do allow users to sort the card images in a variety of ways for sharing screenshots.

To aid in gameplay, a Lore Counter can be used which includes both a light and dark mode. This also supports tracking Lore for just a single player, or for both players.

Finally, the app includes a complete text- and image-based How to Play, so it’s easy to recommend this app to your friends so they can read through the rules and browse the card database all in one place!

Overall, this is a slick app that has all the features the many budding Lorcana players will need to get started! While not all the news about allocations has seemed rosy, this app is certainly a win for players and collectors interested in the game and is a recommended download for anyone looking forward to the release of the game at Gen Con or their friendly local game store!
